It's from a Fark thread from about 10 years ago when someone mistyped vodka, and vodka became vodak. It was around the same time as the hot cocoa sampler box.

The liver uses PPARalpha to burn belly fat; the hippocampus uses PPARalpha to process memory.
In people with a large amount of belly fat, the liver needs to work overtime to metabolize the fat, and uses up all the PPARalpha

So why not just give people extra PPARalpha so we can burn more belly fat and have enough left over for the hippocampus?
