Yet another reason why I love living in the capital of the world.  NYC is the Justin Timberlake of American cities.  Try as you might to find reasons to hate it, you realize that it's still better than the place you live.

Towards each other, though, New Yorkers are kind and generous.

I once had a New Yorker tell me he intentionally gives tourists wrong directions. I told him he just confirmed my suspicion that he's an asshole. He got mad. I'd actually met the guy a few times, so it wasn't some random dude that I was making a snap judgement about.

This happened to me in Arizona.

Wow, those must have been *really* wrong directions.
