That's good, I almost forgot about 9/11 myself.

In the 38 years that car's been around, how many thousands of gallons of Saudi oil do you suppose it's burned?

I'm pretty sure I could buy a '75 Nova and hire a pretty good artist do the same thing for something considerably less than $30 million. Oh, this one's autographed by governors and senators, you say? Well, that would make mine worth more.

But then again, if I were going to do something like that, I'd probably opt for pictures of the Cramps in concert.

Whatthefark: I'd rather have the '66 Nova in the sidebar.

Yeah, '66 and '67 were the best. But I've always been nostalgic for a '69-'70. They're so approachable and blue-collar. My favorite combination is a '70 in dark green with a black vinyl top, black interior, 15x8 rallies in the back and 14x8s up front. Throw in a moderate 350 - 4spd combination, or (as long as I'm day dreaming) a moderate 383 - 5spd combo with 4-wheel disc brakes and a 4:11 posi out back, and I'd be happy to spend my days rubbing on the Turtle Wax, blasting some Bruce Springstieen on the Rockford Fosgate, and smoking the radial T/As. Good times. If you like, there's a fridge there inside the garage. Grab what you like. Bottle opener's on top.

It might, I say MIGHT be worth $30 million if the Nova was used by OBL as a base for planning the 9/11 attacks and the plans were actually inscribed on the hood and the 4 main hijackers then drove the Nova from Afghanistan to Florida for flight training, and then drove the Nova to drop off some of the hijackers to Newark and Boston to catch their flights and then the Nova became self-aware and realized what was going on and drove itself to NYC to thwart the attacks but was late so assisted in the recovery and stayed to help haul off debris and then drove around collecting money for memorials and then the Nova helped bring in materials for those memorials in PA, Pentagon, and NYC and then the Nova drove Seal Team 6 to Pakistan as they put a cap in OBL and then drove materials to NYC for the Freedom tower while also driving metal from the WTC towers to the shipyard for the missile cruiser New York and then drove gold from the vaults at the WTC to the Franklin mint to make commemorative coins...yes then the car would be historically important and maybe worth $30 million

The owner of the car, Richard Lopez also maintains  , where he stated that he built the car out of a "desire to educate children and parents across the United States

If you put the face of Saddam Hussein on your tacky "art car", then you are an ignorant, and not qualified to educate anyone.

I thought, alright, this is folk art in a high tech age. This is pastiche Americana. History must be remembered in unique ways. ...Then I saw the picture of Saddam Hussein on the front, as if he was connected to the attacks, and I was like, okay, this is pure racism designed to make white people remember how scary Arabs are. This is racist propaganda. It's like driving the Klanmobile.

It has now been long enough that any self-professed conservative may now attempt to cash-in on 9/11/01.   Remember, profiting from the deaths of thousands of your own countrymen is now only bad if you are liberal or don't say you're republican loud enough.

I dunno, are there fuzzy dice on the rearview mirror? Because those can always make any car more tacky.
