Gunther : Arrow improved enormously between the first and last episodes of its first season. It's still not amazing, but it's certainly watchable now.

Arrow is several times more watchable than the damn green arrow episodes of Smallville.

I'm a geek, and I like Arrow. It is a guilty pleasure, but a pleasure none the less. I think it's worthy of Smallville, another show that brought some cool moments in between the odd. Young folks are the only ones who can try to portray the intensity seen in most comics with a straight face. My generation is telling the stories My dad's generation began, and now it's time to let the kids play with it.

Very disappointed.

This little pillowbiter is no Barry Allen. I've only caught a few episode of Arrow, and I'm rather meh on the guy playing Ollie. The laughable thing is, the dude who played Ollie on Smallville (SMALLVILLE, of all things) was a great early years GA. It would have been fantastic to see him on a GA show, slowly, over seasons, turning into the libby, van-dyke beard wearing, hardcore GA of the Neal Adams/Dennis O'Neil years.

I love Barry Allen. Although I like Wally, I prefer Barry. I'm a big Silver Age fan.  My fear is that he's been cast as Barry, and they'll feel the need to make him 'edgy' because children demand edgy as though it's inherently more interesting. The Flash, any Flash, be it Jay, Barry, Wally, or Bart, is NOT an edgy character. None of them. They're all fairly easy going nice guys who love and have fun with what they do.  And not in the same way the Punisher likes what he does.

I'd rather this kid be Bart, despite continuity issues.

Walt_Jizzney: Arrow: the "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" of the comic book world. Amirite?

It has plenty of violence with politics and softcore gratuitous porn stuck in between fights?

Maybe I should watch it.

meanmutton: Do people really want to see a Flash TV show?

Not if it isn't Michael Rosenbaum playing Wally West.

Because seriously, Barry Allen is shiat.

It's nice to see Rachel Maddow branching out and trying new things.
