At the advanced stage that Anon describes? Absolutely not. The swelling indicates advanced cirrhosis. Same prognosis as for an alcoholic: Stop actively killing yourself, live as healthy as possible and you get to "enjoy" the maximum amount of time left before liver failure or liver cancer painfully kills you.

But, in the early stages, yep! Your liver will recover from the mild "fatty" stage if lifestyle impact or chemical exposure is minimized. In fact, many people never progress enough show symptoms.

So buck up, laddie! Up to 25% of the US has it - you're not alone :D
