Does the 8600 meter wide Large Hadron Collider count?  It doesn't have a shopping mall or a hotel inside though...


I always thought of the LHC as more of a series of tubes - so no, I wouldn't count it. The lack of a shopping mall only heightens my non-counting of it.

If you're going to count the LHC, you should count coal mines, the Chunnel, and oil pipelines...

At least back in the day it was the actually countrymen designing and building these things... I think?

These days it's a competition between corrupt developing countries to hire the best Western designers and best Eastern slaves.
