You should be allowed to rip off Richie Incognito's helmet and bludgeon him with it, but unfortunately that's not the way the rule is written. They may need to look at that in the off-season.

johnny_vegas: OhioUGrad: PowerSlacker: Since when is a suspension from preseason games a punishment?

If you're on the bubble it could be the difference between making the 53 man roster or even the practice squad and going to work at Walmart with your phys ed. degree

The Chargers would pick him up so no worries

So you are saying that it is a really really harsh punishment

Gunderson: I can see why they do this.  You don't want some scrub who barely has a chance to make the team instigate a fight knowing a regular season  suspension would be meaningless, yet the other team's star player who was just defending himself now has to sit out the start of the season.

Incognito drew a fine on another guy on Week 1 last season and spent the press conference talking in the first person. He's essentially a fatter Courtland Finnegan.

FriarReb98: The name "Richie Incognito" always sounds like a celebrity hotel name or something.

Would have been a better nickname than Carlos Danger...
