It's always in the last place you look.

But where do you bury the survivors?

I find it rather odd that a child was found in a makeshift, newly dug, shallow grave, and no one seems to know of any missing children to match it up to.

Maybe they just aren't telling the whole story yet.

Graves are dangerous places to be, apparently.

You can't explain that.

LandOfChocolate: So much for everyone in this thread who was recommending that tactic.

What was not what people were recommending. Graves are usually dug the day before a funeral. You sneak in at night, dig the grave down another couple of feet and bury the body there. Then at the funeral they bury the coffin on top. The body is like 9 ft down underneath another grave. In the article somebody buried a body in a shallow grave in a cemetery which is the one place people are absolutely guaranteed to dig and notice a shallow grave.

Well, whoever did it suffered from TLDR... they just buried it shallow in a grave yard, not in the bottom of an all ready dug grave.

FTA: found buried just a metre below the surface (later noting it at 130 cm).

Tell that to that to the person that dug it.  A four foot hole ain't easy.

'Police suspect murder after dead child found'
Fine police work there Lou.  Normal folks would have suspected Sharknado, or cheetos after finding a dead child.

There was a graveyard worker in Arizona who would have gotten away with murder. He killed someone then buried the body in the bottom of an open grave. The next morning he put the grave owner's body on top of his victim and filled in the grave.

He felt so much guilt he called the cops and turned himself in. Otherwise, no one would have ever found the body.

SundaesChild: It's always in the last place you look.

Not always. After I find an item, I prefer to keep looking.

Must be why they always put a fence around them.

My god, that's the resting place they'd look!
