DoomsDayAardvark: chirpy: DoomsDayAardvark: I held his paw as he took his last breath and drifted away.I'm so sorry DoomsDayAardvark. I will miss the weekly Kay pic's. I'm sure your pain is much deeper. Keep the faith, and get a new Kay (Ell?) soon, please. There will be another cat (maybe even a couple) at some point. Kay's "step mom" (my girlfriend) has offered Diego and Lindsay (the "October Kittens" from last fall).[i445.photobucket.com image 640x480]But it's too soon. The house is too quiet, and I walk funny apparently, because I'm used to stepping around a cat who's no longer there, but it'll be a while before I'm ready to fill that void./Of course now, Lindsay looks like this[i445.photobucket.com image 640x360]And Diego is camera-shy.We'll see.
sherpa18: Ya know, that pic of the white one is usually the first thing I will 'shop into a tennis match, but I was trying to be different and not do it this time. But thanks for adding him, I can just imagine what my old man would be saying...
spinach gunk: sherpa18: Eh, I think no matter what pic of him you shop into a tennis match, he is always going to be saying, "Quit your Farking and bring me some food!" ;) Dis piktchur not compleet wifout a dorkapotamus.
sherpa18: spinach gunk:just got done combining DDA's last addition with mine, so I think you have to move the dorkapotamus (Kay was there first)....

ruetheday69: I noticed there are a lot of Ohio-based Farkers who are also involved in cat rescue. I have a small problem. A few months ago a stray cat that lives around my apt building had a litter of 4 kittens. I'd like to grab two of them for myself and figure out what to do with the others, which includes the mother and the big tom who is the probable father. None of them will let me near them but I have been leaving out food and hanging around the food and am seeing some progress there. They seem in general good health other than being hungry. Any advice would be appreciated.
tigerose: Good Meowning! eli has been getting me up at 4:00a.m. To be let in. Ugh! He knows I am a light sleeper, and can't ignore his warbling...after he was in, i had a thought..crud, I didn't check to be sure his mouth was empty....he talks with his mouth full...No extra critters this morning. Whew!
lilyspad: Oh No!! Still suffering from that??? Poor baby! Skritches sent....... :D
tigerose: Oh dear. Have you seen a Dr.?
valnt9: is Fark acting like it's stuck in molasses for anyone else?
DoomsDayAardvark: bighairyguy: Thank you all for the condolences for MizMezcalita and me about Leo. Fortunately, he was very photogenic:A wine connoisseur :To absent friendsAnd my personal favorite:I dig you. This week sucks, but at least we have each other to share this with. Looks like your boy and mine had a lot in common.
DoomsDayAardvark: As many of you are already aware, I have some very sad news to relate this week, but I'll relate the story for everyone. For a long time, I've used writing as a coping technique. I prepared this obituary for Kay to help myself through it. (Don't everybody click that link at once -- my host probably can't take a farking). It helped, but it still hurts.

neurofunkin: And last but not least, my cat has discovered that the sound of the dryer buzzing means that there are warm clothes that he hasn't had the chance to get his fur all over yet. He can't believe I've been holding out on him all this time.

He can't believe I've been holding out on him all this time.REMOVE THE DRYER SHEET (FABRIC SOFTENER) THEY CAN BE POISONOUS.In fact, when the dryer cycle ends, the chemicals are active not only on the dryer sheet itself, but on the clothes.
yobbery: No, he doesn't need a special diet at this point. Right now they view it as just one of those things that hopefully won't happen again.
