But if you're asking if white people make me nervous, then yes. Sometimes. For example, I felt very uncomfortable once at a gas station in Idaho when a white guy wearing a sleeveless denim shirt and worn out baseball cap and two days of stubble walked in. I also felt uncomfortable in Kalispell, MT when stopping for a bite to eat on my way up to Whitefish. Lots of stereotypically dressed "rednecks" there too.

Whitefish was great, though. I liked that town a lot. What a difference 20 miles makes.

That's kind of what I was thinking. From what I've heard from a friend of mine that went to WVU, the college football teams are practically the entire compliment of black people in the state. Add in "he was the size of a refrigerator" and it's not like the police have a very large suspect pool.

Then also ask why they never use color to describe minority suspects in the media unless they victim is a minority. Read the book Bias, its really interesting and was written by an old time journalist who watched these changes take place.

I never really looked into. I haven't lived in Huntington for quite some time and only remembered the story because of how mind-numbingly stupid it was with the whole leaving the empty boxes in their room. Thanks for the update.

I know what Obama meant by his comment. He was talking about the experience of being profiled, and how most black men (regardless of background) can relate to it.

I just don't understand what that has to do with this story about a college football player doing a home invasion robbery. So that's why I asked.
