Well, that certainly was something that happened and was captured on video and shared with the world.

Yep. It certainly was that.

there's something deeply amusing about the idea of Arnold's T-800 doing youth gymnastics as a kid.

Terminator would have been a great gymnast possibly an Olympic contender, however as he grew older the search for Sarah Connor took over his life and he let his training fall by the wayside.

Now all they need to do is enter him in the Olympics for China and claim he's a midget. Go China -

IIRC, skynet came first sky net.

// so I'm far more afraid of what folks are currently doing with drones and helicopters

// terminators were supposed to be infiltrators.

"Casting Arnold Schwarzenegger as our Terminator, on the other hand, shouldn't have worked. The guy is supposed to be an infiltration unit, and there's no way you wouldn't spot a Terminator in a crowd instantly if they all looked like Arnold. It made no sense whatsoever. But the beauty of movies is that they don't have to be logical. They just have to have plausibility. If there's a visceral, cinematic thing happening that the audience likes, they don't care if it goes against what's likely."

A Godwin:

When the replaced gymnasts, I didn't mind because they still can't program themselves.
