A few years ago, one of the surrounding counties had a case, where the assholes duct taped fireworks to a pit, and set them off.  The dog was so horribly burned that it had to be euthanized.  Did the assholes get jailtime when they got caught?  Nope..  Just a fine.

People like that should be burned at the stake.  Yes, I see people saying that dogs are stupid, but they aren't.  They are bred to rely on people.  A dog has a tendancy to trust people to a fault.   Some pay the price for trust.

To the people who think it's fun to hurt animals, Fark you,  Karma is a biatch.

Moosey, you fed the troll.  That said, the thing that makes this so horrible is the act itself.  It doesn't matter what kind of dog it was, just that some sick fark out there gets his jollies that way.  The dog did not die immedately and had to be euthanized which means it was in a great deal of pain for some time.  Sick b*stard probably creamed himself.

Why do we assume it was intentional? Perhaps the guy wasn't thinking about the dog, threw the firework, and the dog went after it.


Because the humane society does not often offer $5k rewards for "accidents"?

haolegirl: Heard a story about a guy ice fishing who thru a stick of dynamite out onto the ice, poor pup thought it was a game of fetch and ran to get it. The guy and his equally stupid friend started shooting their guns to scare the dog off...scared the dog right into hiding under the dumbasses brand new truck. Guy lost the dog and the truck that day.

Stories like this are literally the only things those people are good for.  They essentially exist purely as a form of entertainment for the rest of us; when something happens that the rest of the Internet throws up their hands over, like that coont mom in Michigan who made fun of the little girl dying of some debilitating illness, we call on them to destroy their lives and we get a great deal of pleasure out of it.

They are living schadenfreude machines.
