jasenj1: MyToeHurts: The naked baby thing aside
That writer is a douche and deserves a cock punch
Can't believe his editors allowed that dribble to be published

I disagree. Who knows how many other parents were harassed by the "beach supervisor" but don't work for a newspaper. In a sane world, people washing their children off after time at the beach would be a completely normal and accepted activity. That it's not is a sad and mockable state of affairs. It's worth publishing the article to shame that town for being stupid.

Unfortunately, most of the comments on the story are of the "your kids shouldn't be naked" variety. To me, those people are either trolling, or the USA has gone way, way, toward the dark side.

I don't think MyToeHurts was talking about the fact that it was published, but rather the tone and language of the article.  And I have to agree.  The writer's arrogant, snide, self-righteous tone seemed to be trying to portray himself as the pinnacle of martyrdom. He somehow managed to blow an already ridiculous circumstance further out of proportion, suggesting starting a protest march because his children might've been thrown in prison for 90 days.  I want to argue the opposing side just to prove this douchebag wrong.

Uncle Tractor: Children run naked at my local beaches.

Adults run naked at mine.

And teenagers.

And ... the sky doesn't fall.

StrangeQ: silverjets: Bashar and Asma's Infinite Playlist: Sounds like the cop got a little full in his diaper looking at a naked toddler.

Know how I know you didn't actually read the article?

Yeah, sounds like the real cop actually made a sound decision for once.

Do you know how many thousands of stupid and idiotic calls cops get and how many times they make "sound decisions"? You just never hear about that because it isn't news or entertaining in the slightest. You'll only hear of it when it goes wrong.

/not a cop.
//really I'm not

Given it's Jersey Shore, those cops must have been devastated to find it was just two kids, rather than the chance to tazer and capture two live oompa loompas.

So, they're sex offenders now, right?

Everyone on that boardwalk is now guilty of viewing live child pornography and should be sent to prison as well as being placed on the sex offender list for the rest of their lives.

I guess there are no larger issues needing attention more than the naked baby problem.

Because obviously if the human body is naked at whatever age there is obviously the urge to sexualize it and hence the need to cover it up
