Back in the 70's, there was a hippie co-op/commune established in the Florida Big Bend area.  People purchased or leased parcels of land in a rural area, then built log cabins and whatnot. The Whole Earth Catalogue was their Bible, I suppose.

Flash forward to the present era, when my band was hired to play a party gig, out there.  They had an Olympic-sized swimming pool, clubhouse, etc.  One of the residents confided that they had become divided into bitter factions over the issue of the temperature settings for the pool water.

Unrelated, but this is the email I got from our HOA yesterday:

The Station Blvd main pool will be closed today due to contamination from human feces.  The baby pool will remain open for use.

The Station Blvd pool will reopen for use Satureday morning at 9:00 am.
