Yeah, I thought we've already had tons of studies and hard science that say sniffing dogs are totally unreliable?

From training methods to success rate, it's kind of ridiculous.

well you need superior officers more intelligent than the TSA, so it shouldn't be all too surprising that the choice is dogs.

Kind like the time I was coming back from Mexico.  While visiting my wife's aunt, a semi feral pack of  neighborhood dogs took their time to "water" the passenger side rear tire of my mini van.  We had a nice long conversation with the boarder guards after the drug dogs found that wheel rather interesting.
