tenpoundsofcheese: Of course. That has nothing to do with the "surprise" that a fat guy died of a heart attack. It is only a surprise when a fit person, like Fixx, dies.
Dumb-Ass-Monkey: I guess he stopped believ
SirTanon: I guess he stopped believin?
Walt_Jizzney: Too bad - I liked his non-soprano work.R.I.P. "Thug that beat the fark outta that chick in True Romance"-guy!
eddievercetti: Now we'll never get the Sopranos movie.
december: the ending is a constrained choose your own adventure. they laid the pieces for a handful of very plausible outcomes. pick whichever you want most and think of that as the real ending of the show. there is no one right answer.it's not the most satisfying way to end a show, but it is original and consistent with Chase's non-handholding style of writing./compare with Lost -- no one fanboys don't gives a shiat about the show anymore given how bad butthurt they got about the ending was.
valkore: peachpicker: Few actors Italians in recent memory have embodied an Italian character so fully as he did Tony Soprano. I enjoyed him in everything I found him in, and I will miss his work.FTFY.
Crewmannumber6: Fissile: Read his bio and you'll see what a sad, pathetic place the US has become.James grew up in Park Ridge, NJ, a suburb of New York City. His parents were Italian immigrants. His father was a mason, and his mother worked in the cafeteria if a local public school. After high school, Gandolfini earned a degree from Rutgers University."So what?", you say. A couple of generations ago, working class people could afford to BUY their own homes in neat little town, raise a family, and send their kids off to State U. Today the average college grad would be hard pressed to buy a home in Park Ridge, and most kids leave school tens of thousands in debt.So how's that supply side stuff working out for you Joe/Jane American?/RIP Tony, and RIP America. Why don't you shut the fark up and go live in a favella in Brazil?
ParagonComplex: Carth: ParagonComplex: Carth: 51 is too young. Get in shape people being overweight is literally killing people everyday. For real. Literally too young. People need to litereally get into shape. Being literally overweight litereally does literally kill people every day. Literally. Also, talking about a person's weight the day they die literally makes you an ass.Just like you can't talk about gun control on days of mass shootings right? It's 100% certain that if a mass shooting takes place that a gun was involved. It isn't 100% certain that a person has a heart attack because of weight issues. Could have been heart disease or something else genetic. Even skinny people drop dead of heart attacks. I'd have said the same thing if you implied he was a drug addict or any thing else. Poor taste is poor taste.
MayoSlather: The Wire is overrated. The Sopranos is infinitely more watchable.

Wayne 985: JosephFinn: Atomic Spunk: The biggest shock to me was that he was only 51 years old. I thought the guy was in his late 50s to early 60s. Very sad, though.I had the same thought! So he was what, only 37 when Sopranos started?Check him out in The Mexican some time, an under appreciated movie. He's got a really nice piece of work there (also, Brad Pitt's broken/non-existent Spanish is perfect).I forgot that he had so many great scenes with Brad Pitt. True Romance, The Mexican, Killing Them Softly (which wasn't "great," but was still decent and the performances were amazing).
jaytkay: You sound real well informed. Please educate us with statistics showing skinny and fat people are at equal risk of hard disease.
IntertubeUser: The RIP meme is easily the dumbest meme on all the Internet. Unfunny, repetitious, unimaginative, ... just dumb. It makes that golf ball dimpler tripe look intellectual.//Fark sucks more and more every day.
Popcorn Johnny: Word coming out that he was fighting with a paparazzi when he dropped.
NickelP: Its years later and several interpretations are still commonly discussed. It meant whatever you wanted it to. It took tons of shiat at the time but what a way to let your series live on.
texdent: Shocked at hearing about the untimely passing of James Gandolfini. A man of enormous talent. What shocking and sad news.
hardinparamedic: tenpoundsofcheese: Fat guy dies of heart attack.Paging Rick RomaHate to break this to you, but skinny guys die of heart attacks too.Sleep well, don't get those coronary arteries too narrow there.
jaytkay: Klippoklondike: He was also in The Man Who Wasn't There with Billybob ThorntonI loved that movie. I've never met another person who saw it, though.
Klippoklondike: He was also in The Man Who Wasn't There with Billybob Thornton
fullyautomatic: This is why I stay in shape and stay skinny at age 31... and I will be at 40 and 50 and beyond. Kinda surprised he made it this far.
dramboxf: valkore: WillowITYM "Meadow."
mechgreg: I'll take that one. He didn't die. A surprise twist where Tony dies is super hackey writing. And David Chase is a lot of things but he wasn't a hack.

astouffer: mechgreg: I'll take that one. He didn't die. A surprise twist where Tony dies is super hackey writing. And David Chase is a lot of things but he wasn't a hack. The best explanation I've heard was that you the viewer, was whacked.
bulldg4life: What's the over/under on number of posts before someone tries to claim Tony Soprano doesn't die right at that black screen?
