(WFSB Connecticut)   Typically, a boat launch is not somewhere you go around asking people to blow you, but it is if you can't get your boat out of the water after a day of "fishing" with your buddy   ( wfsb.com) divider line

Grumpy Cat: LadySusan: skinink: WTF? Not only is he attempting to drive drunk, but he's trying it with a boat hitched to his farking car? I hope they take his driving license away, and for good measure somehow take possession of his boat.

I'm impressed that people didn't try to help him out. "Sure Cletus, you ain't THAT drunk." Hopefully he will now learn an important lesson about the utility of designated drivers.

I don't think Clinton, CT, is very Cletussy, but anything's possible.

Cletus is a state of mind not just a state or region.

Oldiron_79: One of the most infamous sites for gay men to meet for random anonymous sex in my city is a boat ramp, so Im not so sure about that assessment subby

Boat ramps -- where "scraping your barnacles for you" is code for something entirely different.

Oldiron_79: LittleSmitty: If you want a good laugh (or an appalling look at the depth of human stupidity), just spend a few hours at a public boat ramp. Holy crap, there are far too many people out there with no business operating a boat, towing a boat, or just being anywhere near a boat.

One of my faves is people that end up needing a wrecker to get off the ramp because they are trying to tow a boat of any size with a front wheel drive where the tongue weight takes weight off the drive wheels.

I've seen:

Too much boat for the tow vehicle to handle, resulting in boat, trailer and tow vehicle submerged.

Boat, trailer and 4x4 truck submerged because someone forgot what "Park" and emergency brakes are for.

Boat and trailer drifting off because of lack of safety chain.

Boat falling off trailer because of no tie downs.

Boat jumping trailer and landing on truck because lazy ass tried to goose it onto trailer with a little too much enthusiasm

Just to name a few
