Humph.  I just wasted all my Walker bashing in the other thread.  Let me explain.  No, there is too much.  Let me sum up.

Walker turns down Federal funds for a rail project in Wisconsin citing maintenance costs.  The costs of abandoning the project are far greater than the maintenance costs.  Wisconsin, not being an island in the Pacific, is surrounded by other states that would love to work together on rail projects for better connectivity, but Wisconsin doesn't want to play because Walker acts like they are an island in the Pacific.  Talgo, the maker of the trains for the rail project, files a lawsuit against the state for not fulfilling their contract by, you know, paying for the trains that they've already built.

This is your Governor, Wisconsin.  You've blown a huge wad and got nothing for it except a lawsuit.  Congrats.

Cletus C.: The city's name is only unpronounceable to someone whose only interest in the state is to see its evil governor ousted because unions.

Wow, you need a degree in archaeology to unearth that talking point.  Here, take a look at this tool that ensure it gets reburied for posterity:

qorkfiend: I'm not particularly surprised. The next governor's term in office will look pretty similar to Obama's: being blamed for the consequences of your predecessor's policies, being blamed for not cleaning up your predecessor's mess fast enough, dealing with a (probably) opposition state legislature, dealing with the inevitable recall election...

The State is 49th in growth, but by God, at least the Governor's not a Democrat.

Wisconsin is now 49th in job creation while just about every other state has shown a marked improvement in this rebounding economy.
I'm not sure if that qualifies as a "huge commie fail" (whatever the hell that even means), but it certainly indicates a MASSIVE failure of Walker's economic policies.  However, considering that Wisconsinites are too racist and stupid to understand how to vote for their best interests, you might be right, Subby.  This new status-quo has Wisconsin on the fast-track to becoming the next Mississippi, and considering that's what Wisconsin wanted, they have no right to whine about a damn thing.  They bought their tickets, after all.  I say, let them burn.

Yet, here in Minnesota, the economy is doing just fine despite a Democratic governor and Democrat-dominated legislature...

And now Guv. Fetal Alcohol Face is flexing his small-government ideology by signing a bill requiring all women seeking abortions to get a govt-mandated ultrasound. Because he's opposed to govt involvement in health care.

Let them have it.  We've already turned over the keys to the Koch brothers to rule as they will.  Let's hear them out.  Wisconsin can serve as a towering monument to the success of public services through privatization.  Let us all see how they would "run the country as a business" to better serve us all, by giving them a state to prove it.

Wisconsin has been under Koch rule for quite a while now.  Businesses and right-minded Americans must be flocking to the state in droves, yes?

In a race that is a good 8 months away from needing to announce your intentions, no one has announced their intentions.  Shocking.

cameroncrazy1984: "huge commie fail"?

Citizens working to gather the approval of a significant proportion of the population thus triggering a referendum by the larger population to decide a contentious matter is the acme of Stalinist totalitarianism.
