IDK, i take great issue with my tax dollars going to rebuild homes, businesses, and schools that are going to be destroyed again by a tornado in a couple years.  This isnt exactly the first time Moore OK has been devastated by a tornado, and guess what.  IT wont be the last.

But this guy wants the pork for his state because it is what will get him elected.  We all know these people home insurance is going to have excuses on why not to pay, and i am sure the GOP will have no issue with them saving their profit margins.

Semantic Warrior: So, I'm not a meteorologist or anything, but could someone explain to me how Hurricane Sandy managed to avoid every state along the east coast except for NY and NJ? I'm failing to find how iit attributed to zero damage outside those two states, and thus any recovery from devastation from its vicinity is "pork" and not part of the clean up.

It didn't. It made landfall on the Jersey coast and it moved up and it hit NY, but the storm surges and high winds caused damage from the Mid-Atlantic coastal region to upper New England. The high winds especially caused power outages in New England along with inland river flooding.
