jjorsett: Sasquach: Isn't "dangerous weapon" a bit repetitive?

I suppose you could be attached by a non-dangerous weapon but it really an attack?

/I should just to go lunch

Exactly what I was thinking. The redundant part, not the lunch part.

I just got back from lunch (epic in scope) and I think they had to go with the "dangerous" weapon because the law doesn't have a misdemeanor category for "hilarious" weapons.

Real easy for the defense counsel at trial "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the charge is assault with a dangerous weapon. This is not a dangerous weapon therefore the charge is false and you must acquit."

I'd probably get thrown in jail for a year on contempt of court for that one, if I used it pro se.

Subby, as any NYC cop (and Abner Louima) can tell you, it all depends which end you use
