PartTimeBuddha: What is this for?
toetag: 230 nautical miles in 6 minutes = mach 5?
J. Frank Parnell: To elaborate, the general logic is that anything they reveal to the public and explain is something they're also revealing and explaining to the 'enemy', who can then copy it. So they only do it with technology they have no fear of anyone else using, because they've surpassed it so much.
AliceBToklasLives: Cool. Now time to design one that doesn't smash into the ocean.

The Aurora had that back in the early 1990s."Bushwah! Now what's your mission? Are you planning to make some kind of alien-human hybrid?""Are you coming onto me?"
J. Frank Parnell: Awful nice of them to do all their testing in full view of the public. It's been said before they only reveal obsolete tech this way
