Another video of innocuous behavior appearing to be troublesome at first, and then spinning out of control when the person is mildly belligerent when confronted?

Let's look at it from the liquor store's perspective.

They're probably in a state of continual defense for previously-allowing loitering, so were forced to hire a guard to shoo away people, or lose their liquor license.  The guard was checking the guy out for appearing to loiter and drinking out of a can.  Soda cans have been known to be filled with intoxicating beverages to trick those in authority (I did it myself all the time in college).  The apparent loiterer wouldn't hand the can over for inspection or smelling, so the situation escalated into an arrest.

Seriously, people, when will the common sense of realizing the situation from the other party's perspective kick in and avoid these stupid complaint videos?

Society is give and take.  Technically the guy was loitering, so just give up the can and everyone would have been cool.

Then you go from " Suspected there was alcohol in the can" to " I smelled alcohol in the can" whether there was any or not. Innocent or guilty NEVER give a cop anything to use against you. It says in the Miranda rights "anything you say CAN and WILL be used against you. Not   MAY or  MIGHT. A cop can turn anything you do or say into a confession really quick. I would hope that "cop" lost his job but he probably got a promotion

Of course, I'm the guy who has barfed or passed out in public a half-dozen times over the years.  The cop at Summerfest parted the shrubbery and told me to start walking or go to jail.

/It's amazing how little it takes to be considered "walking" in Wisconsin.

Paranoid? No. I have seen my minority friends go through some stupid shiat when they were doing nothing wrong. I have stories for days of cops abusing power that I have witnessed. I had a cop try and walk into my house because he was next door and thought he smelled weed in my house. My door was unlocked and he just opened it and started to walk in. He got two steps in when I stopped him and told him to leave. He tried to claim that once he was in there was nothing I could do to stop him. Little did he know I had his boss on speed dial because I used to date his daughter and we still get along.

I guess our experiences shape our degree of sensitivity.  I've never been hassled by the cops.

Had an Indiana one try to write this out-of-state driver a ticket for speeding I wasn't doing, but he never filed it after I got in his face and called bullshiat in front of witnesses.
