I remember when Bowie essentially did an IPO...of himself. I mean, how farking awesome are you when you can raise capital by selling bonds tacked to your future awesomeness?

I won't sit here and defend every Bowie song or album just because he's Bowie. The man has put out some turds over the years (IMHO). But damn, son, he's David Farking Bowie. I can't articulate how impossibly cool that guy is.

/was pleased to hear "Moonage Daydream" playing in a coffee shop the other day, and it was coming from some teenage girl's iPhone dock

This is the best show on television right now (the whole episode 4 was absolutely phenomenal) and it's going to be cancelled because NBC hates the show, did not promote it, put it in a death slot in the middle of farking April and never gave it a chance.

And those two farking Marathon Bombers farked the pooch as well. fark you, NBC, you're terrorists too.

The concept of a brilliant criminal profiler who's blind to the serial killer standing next to him is intriguing.
Hannibal as a sidekick, solving the crime-of-the-week is not.

I like Hannibal. I like Mads Mikkelson as Hannibal. However, I have to say that if there's anything I don't like it is his speech. I find it really hard to understand most of what he's saying. That's all. But obviously, it is significant whenever he has screen time.

The Following. Fascinating concept but works for a few episodes. Now it's just dull as fark.

Intriguing premise of using the look of a 60s America but obviously set anachronistically  in the modern day.
The whole look and feel of the show is expertly crafted and a pleasure to watch.
The acting is superb by all the leads - the mother can be over-the-top loony but immensely watchable when she does go off the rails.
And Freddie Highmore, as a young Norman, really captures the essence of Perkin's portrayal.

Also, it has Keegan Connor Tracy and Olivia Cooke in it. What's not to like!

Apos: It would seem more like unnecessary stunt-casting than an organic and plausible addition. This show is far too good for that.

Well Bowie is a really decent actor, and personally I trust Brian Fuller's vision. If he thinks that Bowie would make Hannibal's perfect uncle, I believe him.

I mean just look how incredible this show already is. Hannibal has been redefined, and the ultimate version of the character is now on NBC.

To be fair, his plate's probably pretty full, what with that music thing,
and all his duties as The Sovereign of the Guild.

David Bowie can do no harm.
