That is so early 90's.  CU-Boulder is opening a marijuana dispensary and a heroin lounge in their student union next fall.  C'mon CSU, catch up!

Dafatone: Fat Tire isn't bad. Like, if a bar has Fat Tire, something awful, and some other something awful, I'll get the Fat Tire and be happy with it.

That being said, there are like 9000 better choices in CO, aka Beer Heaven.

Fat Tire is still wayyy above miller, bud, coors, corona or yeungling.   Fat Tire went from obscure microbrew to mass produced swill in about 12 months.  I live in VA and it is everywhere.  New Belgium is guaranteed to be at every supermarket and cvs and rite aid.  Generally, where Fat Tire is on tap at a bar, it is the best beer available on tap, with its main competition Blue Moon or Leinenkugel.  Bars that have better beers available don't bother with Fat Tire.

Now the new one is Third Shift.  I had never heard of it about 9 months ago, now it is ubiquitous too.  And it is a very middling, very average amber too.  Both are better than Yeungling, but I would rather see a higher quality DIPA given the same shelf space like a Lagunitas IPA.

Why is this a stupid tag?  Is the hero tag passed out?

Stupid tag....the stupid tag would be more applicable on the subby's birth certificate.

As much as I've biatched about misuse of the HERO tag....I would have approved of it in this case.

factoryconnection: Why is this "stupid," subby?  Some people go to college to learn how to operate businesses.  There are thousands of brewing businesses in this country, and the industry accounts for many billions of dollars annually of US manufacturing.  Why is it a bad thing for college kids to get hands-on instruction in the operations intrinsic to billion-dollar industries?

CSU CSB time.

My physics professor came in to class one day drunk off his ass. He started describing his adventures doing the mall crawl the night before. Eventually he decided to try and teach, and after several failed attempts to stand up, managed to pull the chalkboard down. His DTs were rattling the board so much he couldn't write. At this point he complained it was too hot and took off his shirt. By this time some prudes had gone to the department head, and he was escorted out before he could take off his pants.

I used to see him in the Ramskeller every Friday.

We got a new physics professor that wasn't as fun.
