Meanwhile, McGavin, Dillon and Farkas wonder when their Billingsley refs will show up.

We started the year with 8 pitchers:

Greinke has a broken collarbone; Capuano got hurt in the Greinke-Quentin brawl and aggravated the injury in a later game; Harang was traded to Colorado and is now in Seattle; Billingsley hurt his elbow and may need Tommy John after all; Lilly hasn't started yet this year (but should play on Wednesday); Beckett's been meh; Ryu's been shaky; and even Kershaw got lit up last time out by the freaking Padres.  Shawn Tolleson was put on the DL right after he was called up to replace Greinke.  Stephen Fife was just recalled to replace Billingsley and had a rough outing against the Orioles.

If anyone ever tells you a team has too much starting pitching, they're wrong.  You can never have too much starting pitching.
