cannonball: I saw a Tardis abandoned in Homer, Alaska.
big pig peaches: I once saw a baby carrier upside down on the side if the highway. I did stop and check. It was empty.
Tonto's Expanding Headband: Sybarite: It's not at all uncommon, but I'm always puzzled by where that one shoe comes from, especially when it still appears to be in pretty good shape. It seems like it's almost always a sneaker or work boot. On yesterday's bike ride I saw a single woman's high heel shoe. It appeared to be in good shape. On another ride several months ago, I came over a hill and there was a Chevy Suburban on it's side off the side of the road. There was a Mexican guy standing in the road talking on his phone. When I rode past the same spot about an hour later there were cops and a tow truck. As I rode past one of the cops talking to the Mexican dude I heard the cop say something like "No, this ID is not valid."I guess the Suburban doesn't really count as abandoned.
yet_another_wumpus: 1. Plenty of abandoned cars due to 3" of snow in Tulsa, OK. One hundred miles from the nearest hill.2. One SUV with a tree growing out of the back seat. No blood, despite the fact that there isn't a chance that anyone could survive in any of the passenger seats (who carries a passenger in rush hour). Had previous thought "wrapped around a tree" was just and expression and that SUVs were fairly sturdy.

Xenomech: A dead cat with a sign nearby which said "Free Cat" and which also had an arrow pointing to the dead cat.
Walker: My kid.
boredofedu: We used to have an employee that was always picking up junk from the side of the road. One day he found a pair of coveralls that somebody had lost the entire contents of their colon in. It also had one of the patches with a guys name on it. That guy came into our parts store a few days later and our employee asked him if he wanted his coveralls back, he'd found them on the side of the road all poo'ed up. The guy just turned around and left..
sweet-daddy-2: My first wife. It's also where I left my second wife. Did one of you pick her up? ROFLMAO if you did.
OlDood: "...you seen...", "I seen", "they seen".Very commonly spoken that way in Minnesota and Wisconsin, etc. Still annoys the sheets outa' me and I now live in Arkansas where it is state law to use an apostrophe to make a word plural.(says a former Duluthian)
I'm on the Brute Squad: A dead-head sticker on a Cadillac.A little voice inside my head said "...don't look back, you can never look back..."
ARNOLD.HART: I found a big boat a year ago on the side of the road near an abandoned airport in Indy. Will upload and post pic in a minute.
bsuboy: 2 bowling balls in a suitcase
