How can so many people take a preposterous story like a zombie apocalypse and over analyze it to the point of distraction?

They're running out of food, what else were they supposed to do?

The Walking Dead? Oh, you mean the AMC commercial hour with 25 minutes of zombie clips thrown in.

Farty McPooPants: rugman11: Esroc: TV Companies pull crap like AMC's gratuitous amount of commercials, then wonder why so many people acquire the shows through nefarious means.

Look, I get it. Ads pay the bills. All that I can totally understand. But there's a line, and cable TV isn't just crossing it, they're leaping over it and nuking the line behind them as they go.

/never owned a TV or cable TV service. Don't understand people who do.

The Walking Dead's episodes are always between 42 and 45 minutes, with less than 20 minutes of commercial time.  It's no different than any other show on cable or broadcast.

[CITATION NEEDED]  Show us your data because I think you are wrong, especially the most recent episodes.

I don't have an outside citation, I just have the episodes I've downloaded.  Here are the run times for the spring episodes:

03x09 - 43:17
03x10 - 43:17
03x11 - 43:25
03x12 - 43:20
03x13 - 43:13
03x14 - 43:15
03x15 - 43:21
03x16 - 42:45

The shortest episode of the season was the first at 42:41.  Now, AMC may occasionally run their episodes for 62 minutes (I don't recall off the top of my head and I can't find listings), but you never get more than 20 minutes of commercials.

Bah, it jumped the shark when the first zombie appeared. As if zombies could actually happen. After wasting all those minutes over an entire quarter of an hour I was finally done with the Walking Dead for good. I just couldn't take one more bit of nonsense from that show.
