Bennie Crabtree: downstairs: Synesthesia is facinating to me. I sort of have a very low-grade version of it. Digits have colors in my mind. Not words though.I refuse to believe that it is a thing, since I can't imagine anyone NOT always having the experiences synaesthetics describe. Unless, absaically, synaesthesia is the absence of smells linked to sounds, so people ONLY get colours, and so on and suchlike.
Apos: J. Frank Parnell: Apos: The incredibly lame Lost Girl should have been given the axe instead.Ksenia Solo is the only thing keeping that show going.I stopped watching three episodes into Season 2, but I'll take your word for it.
Dadoody: Its like having all the fun of schizophrenia with out having to be full blown schizophrenic.
Rustblade: Dain Bramage.
swangoatman: Ghastly: I used to have this when I was a kid and I just assumed everyone did. It started to fade away when I turned 8. I used to see scents as colours. I remember the scent of chocolate was maroon and the scent of gasoline was a bright orange.those were crayons dude.
aseras: I have tetrachromacy. I see colors most people cannot. I can see infrared up to 1080nm or so. Sunlight bothers me ( everything washes out ) and I can see in virtual darkness as long as there's a tiny tiny bit of light. LED lights and monitors have been a godsend. Fluorescent lights flicker like hell to me, and incandescent lights are too bright. Now for the cool parts, I can see through any camouflage. Those guys in ghillie suits stand out like crazy to me. Bugs birds animals, can spot them easy. I'm an awesome hunter. I hunt with basset hounds and I'm known for being able to walk into the field and just kick rabbits that no one can see, before the dogs see them. They don't run they squat and hide unless you are right on top of them.
ByOwlLight: Oh man, I have never encountered or read about anybody else who has the tickertape thing. I feel so much better and less like a freak right now.
GCD: jayessell: I have a very low version of synthesiea. With my eyes closed trying to sleep, a noise is seen as thindiagonal lines, grey on black. If that qualifies as a "low version of synthesiea", then I'll be damned if I don't have it too, although mine involves color and various shapes.I've had diagonal lines, I've seen circles, I've had what looks like a snowy TV, lightening bolts, fireworks, basically it runs the gauntlet. It's more frequent when I am sleepy, but it has happened when I've closed my eyes while I've been wide-awake.My parents never believed me at all and chalked it up to being an over-active imagination. I've always thought it's been really cool, except for times when it's extremely active and every noise I hear creates a visual.
Shostie: One of our editors at work is a synesthete. She's a particularly good editor because typos make the words the wrong color to her.
J. Frank Parnell: Apos: The incredibly lame Lost Girl should have been given the axe instead.Ksenia Solo is the only thing keeping that show going.

Ryker's Peninsula: Superpower? You're a retarded version of Dazzler. And you thought everyone saw like you did until 7th grade? Do you no have parents, siblings, or friends? It seems like that conversation may have come up one time.
StrikitRich: Can she taste the rainbow?
VTGremlin: And yet no one cares about us anosmatic folk.
Metalupis: downstairs: Synesthesia is facinating to me. I sort of have a very low-grade version of it. Digits have colors in my mind. Not words though. My mother is the same way, although she attributes it to doing lots of color/paint by numbers things as a kid
xanadian: BarkingUnicorn: Cool kid.I wonder what she sees and hears when "penis" is read.Probably the color 'flesh.'
