The LeMons! I went and saw it once! It's wonderful. Anyone can go and race a POS beater car for the hell of it.

I cherish fond dreams of someday racing my old '92 Toyota Camry there, once I have modified the exterior to be adequately entertaining to the audience. I was thinking either gluing on mosaic mirrors to make it a disco-ball car and asking my mother to make me a Nomex fireproof racing suit according to one of her vintage Seventies patterns; that or I shall make a huge plywood and papier-mache sculpture of the Discworld, the elephants and Great A'Tuin, and race dressed as Nanny Ogg.

The Spirit of Lemons? I would've expected an American car.

That would be a huge hit at any one of the three major rod runs in Pigeon Forge!

That was one of his funniest stories

I haven't heard it in a long time, but since I was a kid, I've wanted to buy a junk car and put a Cessna engine in it.

Did he build it one piece at a time?

2013-03-23 09:41:12 AM
That's kind of tame for some of the cars he's come up with
2013-03-23 09:42:40 AM
Like most American cars, 90 in a straight line but can't go round bends.

Great use of 80s Toyota van. You just can't kill those things. My ex-GF drove one from Albuquerque to LA with no oil in it. I put the filter back on and put oil in it and she drove it for another three years.
