I loved the ORIGINAL 'Iron Chef'.  Chen Kenichi (Love the garlic chili prawns) and Hiroyuki Sakai were my favs.

Anoxic up-welling, basically they all suffocated. It's perfectly natural but likely exacerbated by fertilizer run off.
