This is good news to hear that there is SOMEONE who is able to cut through the cutesy grandstanding BS. Yes, I won't get into complaints that will lead into accusations of false equivalence, but it feels like the last few decades have been marked by gossip news style reporting where being able to put on a show and make is the most incendiary statements are the most desirable traits in an elected official. Add in the horserace aspect, and we have political news divorced of political ramifications.

So imagine my surprise to see someone say "look, we went through this with a fine-toothed comb as did a member of your caucus. Please, do check this bill for any iffy loopholes or tricks, but I can assure you what you see is what you get and you should vote for this bill if you support it and vote against it if you oppose it." Sure, it isn't sexy, but damn if it doesn't deflate the argument instead of escalating it into the story the people in it for the attention want, and a lack of drama helps get the sausage made.

Imagine the havoc that a Tea Tard could cause if the GOP placed one in her position.

Does she advocate trimming spending substantially, and closing the wealth gap slightly?

If not, she's wasting her time.
