Quantity of life vs quality of life. Why is everyone sheeting their bloomers over someone having their 'Willard Scott - Smuckers' moment due to longevity?...

Most of us, should we end up occupying this life into such noticeable years, will end up sitting in our own urine, parked in a Pinesol/amonia filled hallway of a state run 'retirement village' with oozing, unattended bedsores as underpaid, disinterested 'village associates' breeze past amidst smoke breaks...

No doubt my tone may change once I'm days/hours away from my 'time of departure' but holypharkmefivetimes, I'd rather just eat/do/live in a pleasurable manner as I see fit and kick off sooner than later.... and I'm in my 50s, so I hope to simply outlive my parents, nail one or two remaining bucket list items (ensuring I provide enough for both kids to make it through 4 years of undergrad work) then just go w/o any fuss. Copious amounts of blow off the stereotypic hooker's ass would help expedite such things no doubt... but I digress.

My grandmother turned 100 yesterday. Obviously I though this was about her. Couldn't remember the explosion though...

My grandmother never made it to 100 but the gas station across the road exploded once.

The stupid owners used to smoke like chimneys, around the pumps, in the pit, everywhere.

No one was killed and the concrete chunks did not hit my grandmother or her house.

From what I hear, the gas station jumped straight up in the air. I wish I had seen that.
