Benegins and Sizzler.  Couldn't give a Fark.  Just a couple of chain restaurants.  And we have no shortage of those anyway.

Legos...  I didn't know they were ever on the decline.  My son has a collection that could build the entire NYC skyline almost to scale.  And I'm not above sitting there building shiat, right along with him.  Many of the Legos he has came from models of Star Wars ships and stuff like that.  If Lego was ever in trouble, it totally escaped my attention.

Polariod...  Now THERE is something that should never have gone away.  In this day of digital images, it's WAY too easy for people to pass, let's just say, questionable photos to each other, then they get spread all over the internet.  There is a gigantic scandal involving exaclty that sort of behaviour in north NJ right as I'm typing this.  The whole thing with the poloroid is that it's nowhere NEAR that easy to duplicate and proliferate.

Legos are cool, and never died, so they can't be resurrected

Polaroid WAS cool, but the technology is outdated

Sizzler was a cheap steakhouse. I'm not sure it was ever cool, but that's fine.

The article also lists Bennigan's which I sort of remember some people thinking was cool (maybe even me), but in truth it was just trendy and had crappy food with people wearing stupid uniforms- and while not that expensive, it was overpriced.
