How on earth do they expect single people to stop being single if we're not allowed to have sex?

That's totally a good point. As long as FRC is spewing trash, obviously the right to trash gays has stayed. FRC is in Washington, D.C. which has full gay rights as far as I know, including non-discrimination. So if they can still do that, then everything they say are lies. Which I already knew, that point just never occurred to me.

Also, has anyone ever been thrown in jail simply for supporting anti-miscegnation laws or being a big ol' racist in public? No? Then why would it suddenly be a felony to cite your religious dogma?

I'm on my work computer, but I'll take a guess: Because it's every Christian's duty to place themselves on the cross (may need help with the last nail, though), that they may feel the savior's suffering for all of mankind for themselves?

I really don't care WHY it is they believe they're persecuted, but can we get them to realize THAT it is, and in so doing, get them to confine their outbursts of preacherality to preacher-friendly places (like Congress or Church)?

Real close, yeah. It's an interesting topic because they address how histories have been altered to serve the narrative of Christian suffering. It also demonstrates the difficulty of doing what you're hoping for, in that the ingrained nature of a belief in persecution literally makes them believe any reduction in prestige or control is a form of persecution. It was interesting to me because I learned that when they cry persecution because they can't pray in school they honestly believe it.

I'm not saying I believe they're being persecuted. Merely that it alters my perception of how to deal with them when I realized they were being honest about their feelings, no matter how misguided those feelings are.
