wildcardjack: I've got a little remote for my Koday video camera that operates on infrared. You can see remote control infrared on most cameras and I wonder how many video camera systems are susceptible to infrared commands...

CCD and CMOS sensors are sensitive to IR light an cheap cameras (most webcams) can see in IR light too, because they don't have IR filters.

Amazing.....the paranoia that is going around with this.  Conspiracy theorists love this stuff.  Yes I'm sure there will be drone for every person watching what you do all day...looking in your windows at night.

Honestly...there are already privacy laws that exist that cover surveillance. Courts have already ruled you have no right to privacy in a public setting.  Start with the privacy laws if you want change.
