Yeah, Columbine had tons of cameras, they really helped didn't they? And the guy at Sandy Hook just broke a window, went in, and started shooting. All your cameras and peepholes wouldn't have stopped him either. Stop wasting your money on a false sense of security and instead spend it to make sure the children get a good education.

Needlessly Complicated: God forbid they use that $4.5B to, oh, I don't know... actually educate kids. Call me kooky.

The peepholes are only step 1. Step 2 is putting books on the other side of the peepholes, so that children have something to read when they peep through them.

I love watching people throw their money away on frantic, terrified thrashing. No wonder the PATRIOT Act and Gun Control have so much support. So many people just looove the idea that throwing money at the symptoms will solve the cause of the problem.

Looks like a Surveillance State wasn't such a far-fetched or top-down sort of idea after all. George Orwell would be proud disappointed vindicated
