I think this is a repeat, because I signed up for it before. Jeffery Lebowski, who lives at my address but with a different phone number and email address, has yet to receive his free towel.
2003-12-18 11:16:09 AM
I got it... but then then a Chinaman peed on it. It really completed the room, man.
2003-12-18 11:19:23 AM
Now with the Guinness Neon Bar sign that somehow magically ended up in my garage after a night of fun and some liberated Guiness pint glasses, my collection is complete!
2003-12-18 11:24:20 AM
I never received my trinket from the last time this was posted. Bah, humbug.
2003-12-18 11:29:01 AM
I remember some other Guinness give-away a while ago that I signed up for, but I never got the prize. I think it's a scam.
2003-12-18 11:34:21 AM
Never got mine either from the last time. Boy this would've made a nice gift for the wife for Christmas.
2003-12-18 11:36:04 AM
Ditto, still waiting. The site remembered the cookies so it took all of 10 seconds to submit it.
2003-12-18 11:40:29 AM
I never got mine either. Scam city.
2003-12-18 11:42:04 AM
Didn't get mine. Assholes
2003-12-18 11:46:53 AM
I don't trust it. And I'm too lazy to research who nwd42.com is and what they do.
2003-12-18 11:52:18 AM
I got my keychain/bottle opener from an earlier promotion, but it took months. I signed up for the bar towel when this appeared the first time, but I still haven't gotten it yet.
2003-12-18 12:28:26 PM
I got my bottle opener, but I still haven't gotten my towel.
2003-12-18 12:55:34 PM
Same here, got the bottle opener, but still waiting on the towel.

2003-12-18 12:57:43 PM
Great. More spam. Just what I wanted for Christmas. Bastards.
2003-12-18 01:04:31 PM
Damn them! I went to the trouble of answering their silly little questions, (I use a throwaway e-mail address for stuff like this, so I don't worry about spam), and then after I hit submit I saw that it's not valid in California. Dammit! I want my bar towel, consarnit!
2003-12-18 01:08:05 PM
took me a year and 3 letters to get my sorry ass bottle opener... actually kinda cool little bottle opener.

...but the towel never showed up yet.

I say we try n Fark this ad. bastages
2003-12-18 01:10:12 PM
DAMN IT, jeffg23 is probably right! Good thing I didnt give a good email address. And junk mail (snail mail) doesn't bother me.
2003-12-18 01:12:02 PM
Followup, the "Privacy Policy" goes right to Guinness.com so it can't be a real site (you have to re-insert your date of birth).

By having your address, does that allow them to call you despite the national DNC list?
2003-12-18 01:12:19 PM
When they did the flying disc thing last summer I got that in about 4 weeks. No increase in junk mail to the name I used either. Never got the bottle opener....
2003-12-18 01:19:33 PM
"Thanks for coming to our site -- it seems as though you have already entered your information! (Sorry, you can only receive one offer per email address.) Rest assured, we will fulfill your offer as soon as possible."
2003-12-18 02:14:06 PM
Yeah, I signed up to get this for my BF and never got my damn bar towel. I agree, scam scam scam.
2003-12-18 02:31:51 PM
I did not get my towel either, so why is this getting re-posted?
2003-12-18 02:33:55 PM

"Offer not valid to residents of CA, CT, KS, MT, TN, TX, UT and VA."

Wish I had seen that before I filled out the damned survey...

jeffg23 -

NWIQ is New IQ, they are a marketing company & they are partners with Guinness (and one of my former employers). It's most likely legit.
2003-12-18 06:11:01 PM
I got the bottle opener after a couple of months.
2003-12-18 06:13:27 PM
Random_McEric, did the same thing... grrr
2003-12-18 06:13:42 PM
For those of you complaining that you didn't get yours: please not that there's a list of states on the last page where the offer is void. California is amongst them, I was sad to learn.
2003-12-18 06:13:55 PM
i would like a guiness beer towel

2003-12-18 06:13:55 PM

2003-12-18 06:15:22 PM

2003-12-18 06:19:29 PM

2003-12-18 06:19:33 PM
I hit the continue button, but the page does not continue. Now how will I get my towel?! :(
2003-12-18 06:19:35 PM

Well hopefully they will send me a towel, I volunteered around a 900 drink per month habit.
2003-12-18 06:21:40 PM
Still don't have one from the first time. And my state is valid (mass).
2003-12-18 06:21:41 PM
oh great. not good in VA. that was a waste of my time then.
2003-12-18 06:22:09 PM
Tried the page with both Internet Explorer and Phoenix. Continue button doesn't work. Nuts :(
2003-12-18 06:23:35 PM
"I think you have my stapler..."
2003-12-18 06:23:52 PM
A quick search on nwd42.com redirects you to Newworldiq.com.

If you notice from the press headlines (Picking up services in Ireland), and click on their 'customers' tab, it promptly displays that it does in fact host Guiness' Online store.

As for not receiving stuff, well.. That one I can't answer.
2003-12-18 06:24:07 PM
Yeah, still waitng for my fist towel or openr - don't remember. Still love guinness, though.

My dog is named Guinness.
2003-12-18 06:24:30 PM
Same here--signed up last time and it never arrived.
2003-12-18 06:24:47 PM
I signed up for this last year - I never got my towel.
2003-12-18 06:25:05 PM
Lying about your age for a towel is a sign of trust, and friendship.

And it said supplies were limited, so my guess is the folks who didn't get stuff may have entered too late last time. Good luck to you all this time, mates!
