Look, the melting point of a stony-iron meteorite is way to high to melt on atmospheric re-entry. I did a test using a bowling ball and lighter fluid that proves it.

As that whale-sized thing exploded in the atmosphere, a small bowl of petunias impacted 30 miles due west of that point nearly simultaneously.  The pentunias' only thought was "oh no, not again."

The Stealth Hippopotamus: Normally I'd mock them to. But I really believe that Putin can pull stuff like this off.

Never doubt the Putin.

The Russian meteor was actually the result of Putin and Chuck Norris playing baseball.

Canton: "Nothing in outer space just falls, it's all done by people, warmongers, provocateurs."

Uh, I'm no physicist, but doesn't everything in outer space just fall by definition?

Yes, but this "fall" happened in the winter. You don't -- that's just not possible! It's like a boulder springing from the ground in the summer! Connect the dots, man!

You only think they're stupid because that's what the mainstream meteor tells you to think.

So Barack Obama has a magic meteor machine in addition to his time machine?

S-seriously, you think everyone's into that Final Fantasy crap?

Yeah, well according to your profile, you're a Nazi.

Go back to your farfegnugen and schnitzel, Hans.

KrispyKritter: IMHO people should lighten up on those whose opinions and theories differ from their own. nothing wrong with thinking outside the box, being creative and imaginative, or considering alternative possibilities. people who just accept everything the mainstream feeds them might be the fools. i feel creative genius is the most important kind of genius. awful lot of science is just theory, not fact. yet people parrot what they read or are told as if they were there. mankind is a truly arrogant lot.

It's important to have an open mind, but not so open that people throw rubbish into it.

hitlersbrain: Color me suspicious when I am told that ON THE SAME DAY as a once in a lifetime near miss with an asteroid a bunch of completely unrelated meteors hit Russia (or Soviet Union if you are a Republitard).

The recent meteor strikes are all happening because of Planetary Resources, Inc. They claim they're going to send robotic miners to asteroids, but that's ludicrous; their true plan is to drag asteroids back to Earth orbit to mine them more conveniently. They don't have it quite down yet, though, and they don't give a damn if a billion people have to die in a global mass extinction if that's what it takes to make a profit.

Yeah, but when it's in Russian being shouted by a paranoid drunk man, it's funnier.
