PluckYew: What other movies? Generations and First Contact were the only TNG movies...

Is this like there were no Highlander sequels?

I don't see how Insurrection and Nemesis were worse than Generations. They sucked but so did Generations.

GAT_00: The man's 64. And it's probably a bit more shocking because they had to make him up more and more every year to keep him from aging.

BTW does Patrick Stewart age at all? There is very little difference between when he played Gurney Hallack:

And even as bad as they were, they didn't crap all over the existing mythos like Highlander II did.

In Troi's defense... The damned ship was already in the middle of a nosedive and a warp core breach when she grabbed the stick, and she kept the nose up and prevented it from hitting hard enough to kill everyone.

Granted, the shockwave from the sun exploding killed everyone a few seconds later, but hey, in the very next timeline she was more of a hero than she gets credit for.

Blame the ensign who was there before her, who didn't manage to dodge the shots by the Klingon ship. Stupid ensign.

He's been bald since 19 due to alopecia, so he's not exactly the best example of showing the effects of aging.

And not one comment on his "cheating"?

Sorry, but if you have to cheat to pass a driver safety class you shouldn't be driving.

I was expecting it to be that he hired someone to take it for him.

There were also no Matrix sequels or third Godfather movie.

Nah, I blame Deanna, because the order from Riker was "Deanna, take the helm, get us out of orbit!" Where when they finally did fire the photon torpedo from the rear tube at the Klingon Bird of Prey, the Enterprise was pointing TOWARDS the planet (which is in contradiction to direct orders from Riker).

Diving into the planet is technically 'out of orbit' so she was the best kind of correct.

*Riker sees ship is going to inevitably crash*

"Deanna, take the helm!"
"But I'm literally the only member of the bridge crew who never flew this thing!"
"Hey, if we survive this, I want your fingerprints all over that console, so TAKE. THE. HELM!"

But the planet is in orbit too, so technically, it's still in orbit. Technically correct is the best kind of correct.

Marina Sirtis failed her driving test because she was too busy learning how to fire rocket-propelled grenades!
