gadian: I'd hate it if the "hey, you've herpes" tattoo suddenly appeared one morning. It would probably be straight across the forehead too.
makesthefire: In no way am I against the advancement of medical technology...and while these grants are (IMHO) certainly more valuable to the public than say a grant for "Advancement of the Perverted Arts" - the question must be posed...should an institution collecting on average $200K from each of their customers (students) be eligible for publicly funded grants? I realize faculty, scholarships, and other administrative costs eat away at that sum...but I doubt any department at an ivy league university is hurting for cash. I can understand a small directional school (Northeastern West Alabama State) receiving funds to develop a medical program...but a prestigious learnin' institution...?
Too_many_Brians: It's funny but I was thinking about putting my med info into a tat. It would be my first, I wonder how useful it would be in an emergency situation? I ride my bicycle solo most of the time and if I was hit would the ambulance people read any tats if they are prominently displayed, maybe left pec or inside wrist?Something like last name, blood type, organ donor, no allergies
