I love Penn Gillette, and I accept that as a brilliant man he is attracted to the elegant simplicity of hardcore libertarianism and has yet to shake it. I understand that he likely doesn't support Obama and probably doesn't particularly like the guy (given the continued expansion of police powers). I just don't understand, given Penn's dedication to exposing bullshiat and speaking truth, how he can participate in legitimizing Trump any more. Trump gives carnival barkers a bad name. Watching Gillette treat him like a serious individual is just heartbreaking.

Show people need to STFU about politics.
They are paid to entertain us, nothing more.

We went to see Penn and Teller in 96 at Bally's in Vegas. After the show they ran to the back of the auditorium to sign autographs and try to sell some swag. I got in line for Teller. I told him how much I enjoyed the show, he thanked me, and signed my ticket. The woman behind me piped up with " You can talk!" Teller looked at me, rolled his eyes, and said "It's a miracle!" I fell down I was laughing so hard.
