Well that was misleading. A celebrity asking Getty Images, a pay for stock photo site that also sells stock images of celebrities and world leaders, to not make unflattering images available for purchase. And they obliged. I don't think she's literally going after the internet. She just doesn't want to click a yahoo link in the future and see those pictures accompanying a story about her.

If you RTFA, I think you'll find that it was Kanye West who asked his photos be taken down from Getty. The headline is correct and the bulk of the article was about Beyonce asking for her photos to be removed from Buzzfeed.

Made famous by Barbara Streisand who attempted to have publicity photos of her house removed only to have them spread everywhere as a result of her outrage. Its one of the more interesting internet phenomenons.

Its one of the more interesting internet phenomenons.

Honestly, I've never heard of this, but in my defense I'm under 40 so I've never paid attention to Barbara Streisand in my life.
