TheCenturion: That was a really good-natured cat. Most cats would have either bolted, or commenced a glorious slaughter.
bikerific: BraveNewCheneyWorld: J. Frank Parnell: Iplaybass: Let's see your precious cat against a full grown and pissed off dog.I prefer fights in the same weight division. Your doggie against a cougar would be more entertaining. There's a reason dogs are pack animals: They can't go it alone.A cougar is overkill, even a bobcat would probably fark up all but the biggest and toughest dogs.Sorry, disagree. Dogs are better at a straight up fight. All a dog's muscles and violent bits are pointed forward. Their jaw strength is incredible. To put it in geek terms, all their resource points are devoted to forward combat.Cats are multi-directional. They can outjump, outstalk, and (solo) outhunt a dog. But their resource points are spread around. They simply don't have an attack that can do the kind of damage a dog bite can. The cat's swat with claws may fark up a mouse, but is not going to really deter a dog intent on real violence.A dog of equal weight will mess up a cat.
Iplaybass: Let's see your precious cat against a full grown and pissed off dog. I expect it will go something like this:
Vegan Meat Popsicle: Actually, some day they'll probably kill that cat. I had a friend who had a couple "good-natured" dogs that ganged up on their cat one day out of the blue and killed it. He went outside for a few minutes to work on the yard, heard a commotion, came in and found the cat in the back of the hallway flopping around like a dying fish because they'd cornered it and broke its back."Playing" in the animal world is just another word for "practicing killing".
