Not so much science as a few pictures with no descriptions and then the author not even making an attempt at Googling why food is tasteless in space.

From the second result for "why is food tasteless in space":
Appetite in Space
Does food taste the same when you're floating thousands of miles above the Earth's surface? Scientists say no. In the weightless environment, food aromas don't quite make it to the nose. Because smell is a big part of taste, astronauts miss out on a lot of the foods' flavors. Weightlessness also causes fluids to accumulate in the astronauts' upper body, giving them perpetual stuffy noses. If you've ever tried to eat when you had a cold, you know that congestion makes for very bland tasting food.

oh, and provide artificial gravity on missions lasting longer than a few days...

Those two technologies would solve about 50% of all the problems... one more thing would do it (disgusting as it sounds)... a complete closed loop waste reclamation and processing system to replentish food/water supplies... maybe a simple replicator in reverse... takes everything in and returns it to whatever base material the replicator system would use for producing food/water.

HindiDiscoMonster: We should work on these...

The one scene I remember from the replicator was it loading in the coffee first, and the mug second.. I'd rather not have to mop up glitches.
