doczoidberg: Disney World is a blast...if you enjoy standing in line all farking day.
TheManofPA: No one in that picture is riding a rascal so I don't think that picture was really DisneyWorld
BarkingUnicorn: It's good that unhealthy habits are no longer portrayed as a problem only of fat kids. Fit kids shouldn't think "Cheetos only make fat kids fat."But seriously: a National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance?
sleeps in trees: doczoidberg: Disney World is a blast...if you enjoy standing in line all farking day.I want to take my boys but the youngest has autism. Could you imagine the hell that would ensue with waiting in line. I'd have to get drunk and stoned to deal with that.
ohnonotfloridaagain: gingerjet: Perhaps Epcot could start with fixing its horrible food at its park./the worst French food I ever had was at the French restaurant at EpcotDisney food is weird. Even in their top-of-the-line restaurants their food is just ok IMO (although I haven't yet tried Victoria and Albert's). We recently ate at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge and had yet another baffling experience. Lovely, detailed menu - fresh, unique ingredients and preparation -> blah on the plate. I don't get why this happens. Is it because they are trying to cook for palates from all over the world (and kids too), so purposely make everything bland and somewhat flavorless? Don't know, but if I'm gonna pay those kind of prices for a meal I will go somewhere local and independent from now on.
ohnonotfloridaagain: TheManofPA: /though I'd rather have Horizons, I loved that rideHorizons was great, I miss it too.I'm starting to wish there was some kind of retro/preserved Disney that kept the old rides as they were. Was on Pirates of the Caribbean recently for the first time in years and freakin Johnny Depp pops up throughout it, as do sounds and music from the movie (which I haven't even seen). Completely ruined it for me.The Carousel of Progress is kind of fun in that way, though, as is the Hall of Presidents. The older hokey parts of those are still there, they just add on.

wjllope: doczoidberg: Disney World is a blast...if you enjoy standing in line all farking day.We worked the hell out of that fastpass system. There is no time limit on when you need to use a pass, but there is a limit on when you can request another pass. Those limits are like an hour first thing in the morning, and grow longer throughout the day.If you do it right, by the time the park is filling up in the early afternoon, you have several passes for your favorite rides, and breeze right through 90% of the line for each just when the lines are getting long. We really loved that feature.
MaxSupernova: The only disney world food that I found to be good was Ragland road in downtown disney. All the other food was just kinda meh. The counter service at morocco in epcot was pretty tasty as well.
Lershac: We went recently (thanksgiving 2012) and were amazed and disgusted at the scooter crowd. One of them ran over my heels, it was blindingly painful. I accidentally threw an elbow and caught her in the nose when she didn't even slow down or stop. Land manatees is accurate.
ohnonotfloridaagain: Mock26: I hate the updated Tiki Bird show. I also miss 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.Never have seen the tiki birds, but do also miss 20,000 leagues. Best memory of Mr. Toad was waiting in a long line (2+ hours) for it during spring break with some family, including my BIL, who fumed the entire time and was even more pissed after we got off the ride cause it was short and kinda cheesy (in his opinion). Later when they closed the ride they put parts of it up for auction. I generously offered to buy him something from it, but he vehemently refused. He has still never gotten over that experience :)
