Whatever, that show is a f*cking riot. Too bad they've gone from 5-6 million viewers in the first season down to 2-3 per episode. This will probably be the last season.

At least Friends tried to explain away Monica's apartment as actually her grandmothers rent controlled place she inherited.

Odd that this common trope of broke twenty somethings living in huge apartments in a cool part of NY is the exact opposite of Dallas where a family of oil billionaires lived in one three bedroomed house.

The 20-something girls-Chloe and June-live in a massive two-bedroom apartment in what looks to be a nice area of Manhattan.

Granted I know nothing of New York real estate, but it never looked "massive" to me.

This. The show consistently surprises me. It's too bad it'll probably get cancelled since the 2nd season has shown marked improvement over the first. Which maybe people would notice if they SHOWED THE EPISODES IN ORDER.

The best thing about the show is the look of shock/horror/disgust that appears on Dreama Walker's face every time something outrageous happens. She does it well.

Oh yeah, I was just figuring that out on Sunday's episode (Also why are they showing an extra episode on Sunday?) when I noticed that it looked like the episode belonged near the beginning of the series. Sunday's and last Tuesdays were supposed to be the 3rd and 5th episode of season one.

It hasn't been cancelled. For some reason ABC got the idea to show it twice a week. That worked about as well as expected so they're back to once a week

I believe it was adequately explained by Matthew Perry on The Daily Show -- those apartments look nice, but only come with 3 walls, so buyer beware.

I did say "average apartment". I understand there are nice apartments there, but they are for people with 5 roommates of who make at least $250,000/yr.

I think the idea is that one only sleeps there.

I guess I could cut most of my cooking down to just a cast iron pan and one pot, but I'd miss my kitchen nonetheless.

Being within walking distance of places to hang out would make up for not having a yard or decent rooms for guests.

Each house around me has acres of land.

She's just hanging out as if walking around her apartment naked is normal. That was the series opener I think.

I wouldn't call it a 'foyer'. There's no clear delineation between the entry way and the main house. You'd need at least a doorway to separate the two before you could call it a foyer, IMO.

I love this show. It's so much fun watching the 'Welcome to Fark' crying guy lampooning himself and taking the piss out of celebrity culture week-to-week. Plus, he's even hotter now. (That ass!)

The snarky black-humour is right up my alley, and Krysten Ritter is amazing as the 'B'. She tore my heart out and stompted it into a bloddy mushy pulp with her role as Jesse's doomed girlfriend in Breaking Bad, so I love seeing her so brilliantly, vibrantly, monstrously alive in this show. She's incredibly talented.

I really hope the network shuffling hasn't screwed this show in the ass.

/and I was hoping to see some actual examples of dumpy New York apartments these characters would be able to afford in the linked lame article. Like a converted janitor's closet or something.

Yup. She was doing all sorts of things to get June to break the lease and move out so she could keep her money and move on to bilking the next rube roommate. *SPOILER ALERT* It didn't work.

Not to mention that she seems to be running scams with world leaders, or at least rich Arab dudes. The UN General Assembly is when she goes to work. And she's got a cult following in Japan, and who knows what else. Not to mention that she's got rich parents who she's grifting all the time.

30 Rock's redheaded intern. I live in his actual hometown (Conyers, Ga) and my parents live in his 30 Rock's character's hometown (Stone Mountain, Ga). Conyers is much more redneck than Stone Mountain, but neither that close to what the show portrays.

That dude's mom taught my roommate sex ed. He says it was kind of awkward, since her husband was the gym coach.

You know what show is surprisingly accurate? Cougar Town. For realsies. The show's setting is modeled on Sarasota, and having grown up around there, it's freakish how closely they nailed the area, even down to the propensity of kids from there to all go to USF Sarasota because they're incapable of cutting the apron strings.

We know these shows are fake and we use them to get away from our own reality every night Now STFU and get back to showing Krysten Ritter pictures.. Jesus...
