He trims them and then says "ready for guitar playing". What? I purposely grow mine long for fingerstyle. Maybe he means his fretting hand and he plays left handed. At any rate, can't he just rip them or chew them off like most guys?

The funny thing is, I didn't realize I was curious about such things until demonstrations for such things just, well, appear. It's kind of fun, really.

I met Chris last year, and have to say he is by far the most badass person on (or above) this planet. He was a test pilot with the Canadian/American Air Force/Navy (everyone wanted a piece of him) and one of his projects involved throwing an F-18 into a flat spin and determining the best way to recover (balls of freaking steel). Add to that the fact that he's played guitar at Carnegie Hall, learned fluent Russian in a matter of months and is still one of the most down-to-Earth dudes you will ever meet, and I think you'll agree he's far surpassed the requirements for hero status.

Little known fact:  As part of their national duty, all Canadian males are RCMP reservists.  As part of that duty, they must be capable of growing a perfect cop 'stache on 30 days notice.  Anyone non-compliant gets their citizenship revoked and are cut adrift on an ice floe outside of Tuktuyuktuk.
