sno man: Actually, for Pravda, that was a pretty thoughtful article.
xanadian: sno man: Actually, for Pravda, that was a pretty thoughtful article. What I love is how their headline doesn't really match what's in TFA. It's kind of like Fark.com in that way.
cgraves67: I didn't read the whole thing, but they didn't say anything bad about America in the first two paragraphs. That's a new record for Pravda, I think.
Captain Steroid: Oh, Pravda. You so crazy. :P
brantgoose: They should make some Mars probes shaped like beach balls that roll around and dig into the groun like a virus attaching itself to a cell wall. They could test a lot of different places for microbes quickly, taking samples from over 30 centimeters down, sampling polar ice and those alluvial-type deposits, and getting a much faster profile of possible hiding places for life or fossils.
WelldeadLink: Please describe the size and mass of this beach ball with 30 cm drills/shovels, the testing equipment and supplies, and the power supply for the ball. It certainly is going to be too heavy for natural forces to make it roll far very often (how often would a tornado hit this thing?), so also describe how it will be persuaded to move.
