Corvette? Small dick!
Miata? GAY!
Prius? SMUG!

Based on this, 99% of Fark drives a Camry, eats celery for fun, and listens to Peter Cetera.

None of the angle-y lines seem to have a purpose, they're thrown all over the car like scrabble pieces.

Jesus Christ that is hideous. Anyone seen driving one of those in public should be mocked and possibly egged.

Still more affordable (and could run circles around it on a bad day).

computerguyUT: red230: I'll refrain from commenting about the looks until we find out just how fast it really is. A lot can be forgiven stylistically if the car can deliver the goods. It can be as ugly as possible if the Stig can get it around the Top Gear test track in under 1:19 for all I care. This is a sports car, it's meant to go fast and handle. If the styling allows better speed and handling then I'm all for it.

I'll bet it screams.
The Vette has some monster times on the Nurnburgring.....
Looking forward to the numbers...

StrangeQ: cqaudi: Ima4nic8or: The only thing that bugs me is the power decrease. Werent they up to 505 or 550 hp? What gives? Is this Obama's bullshiat fuel mileage requirements kicking in?

marsgwar: They couldn't even bother to put an engine with the same hp as a CTS-V. Weak.

The base C6 has the 430hp LS3. The C7 has the new 450hp LT1.

ZO6 / ZR1 models will be along next with much more HP.

It goes 0-60 in less than four seconds. At some point horsepower just becomes a number when you factor in weight, aerodynamics and suspension.

The thing that's really holding back the Corvette series are the cost-saving measures like plastic body panels and consumer-grade construction.

It's a monstrosity of design-by-committee. The engineers have created an amazing engine and suspension with great aerodynamics. Classic American mechanical engineering genius. Then the accountants came in and made the body panels and interior be cheap plastic. Classic American penny-wise, pound-foolish financials.

If they really wanted to make something special, and it may just be restricted to the Z-01 series, they'd replace the body and panels with ceramics, aluminium, titanium and carbon fibre. The Italians, the French, the Germans and the British have all moved into these materials because they're simply better. If Chevy want the Corvette to truly be a brand-ambassador, they need to act like it and compete with the German and Italian supercars on a whole-car basis.

Lsherm: Bored Horde: If you want a car that optimizes performance but has a worse interior then an entry-level Kia, then the Corvette is your car.

What interior are all you people looking at?  This isn't bad:

It's a busy, busy hot mess. No continuity. Too many angles.

Please stop with the "angry car face" designs already.

They look stupid to anyone over ten years old.

I'm excited for this because it will do to the resale value of C5s what the C6 did to the C4 vettes.

An '02 Z06 with 50k on the clock for $12K. Yes, please.

KopiLuwaked: I think that this Corvette will be an amazing car for the money compared to European counterparts. It still looks to have a cheap interior but lots of driver assists (needed). Great car for speed and better looks.

Does it stand up to the GT-R. No nothing does for the money.

How many times has the GT-R won Le Mans again?

/Not a fan of the 'Vette, but I know my place.

Why do you need more than 10 rounds in a magazine 150 hp? What could you possibly be doing that you need more than that? You should feel bad for thinking you do.

And fluffy, the 'vette has had IRS and positrac for a long time. Although, they still use transverse leaf springs.
