Eff the BCS right in its stupid ear. The only way to handle college championships is tournament style. Call them bowl games if you must, but it's the only way.

This is solely because of the BCS's crippling fear of margin of victory "style points".

My personal favorite computer ranking, the Fremeau Efficiency Index (FEI), has Alabama #1 and Notre Dame #10.

Doesn't the BCS formula drop the highest and lowest computer ranking specifically to guard against this making a difference?

It would work a lot better if there weren't such huge disparities between conferences. The computers are just attempting to offset the superior SEC.

I'm pretty sure the only school that could legitimately be argued #1 other than bama is Ohio state (undefeated and all) and they are disqualified.
